One of the more popular uses for our steel riding arena designs over the years has been for the equestrian community using them as riding arenas and horse barns. This building includes our “equestrian package“. This package includes non-expandable end walls and portal frames in the side walls which allows for the removal of normally required bracing that would be present. It gives flexibility to the rider to maneuver freely in and around the structure. This package also has a 2 ft skirt around the eave which helps block out the sun and also gives the arena a nice finished look which can all be seen in this video.
Our prefabricated steel buildings can also be engineered for hurricane codes and loads. This steel riding arena was engineered for 131 mph wind speed per the FBC 17 code requirements for their county. The gutters and downspouts added to this building are a must in Florida to help with the rain and to re direct the water away from the arena. With our Florida outdoor riding arenas it is also a good idea to option for all galvanized secondary framing and grey primed steel like this customer did. This will help protect the steel in the harsh Florida weather.
