How to Use Our 3D Steel Building Designer
Titan Steel Structure’s easy-to-use 3D building design tool allows you to design a steel building and get a quote in minutes. Here is a step-by-step guide to using this innovative tool.
1. Choose the building’s dimensions
Your first step is to choose the building’s dimensions. Adjust the height, length, and width of the building. The image will automatically adjust as you make changes.
You can also choose the building’s roof type. You will see a dropdown menu with the options “single slope” or “gabled.” Again, the image of your building will reflect your choices automatically.
Finally, adjust the roof pitch. You will see a finished image of your building.
2. Select your colors
Next, you will choose your building’s colors. You’ll find dropdown menus with available color choices for:
- Roof
- Wall
- Trim
- Gutter
- Interior panels
- Wainscoat
Choose a color from the dropdown menu for each of these building elements. You will see the building image’s colors change automatically. Make adjustments until you are satisfied with the final image.
3. Customize the walls
Next, you will customize the walls. You will find a list of wall options, each with a box next to it. Check or uncheck each box to customize the building’s walls and wainscoting. The image of the building will reflect your choices.
4. Choose your roofing options
Now that your building is taking shape, it is time to choose the roof. You’ll see several roof features to adjust, including:
- Left gable overhand
- Right gable overhang
- Back eave overhang
- Front eave overhang
- Ridge vents
- Skylights
Adjust these to meet your building’s specifications. You will see your changes reflected in the image on the left.
Then, you will select other roofing features, including gutters, downspouts, and eave lights. Check the boxes next to these items to make your choices. Again, your changes will appear automatically in the image to the left.
5. Select your windows and doors
In the next section, you will customize your building’s windows and doors. You will see the option to add:
- Slider windows
- Louver
- Solid walk door
- Double solid walk door
- Bi-fold door
- Hydraulic door
- Roll-up door
- Framed opening
Click on each item you would like to add. You will see those items appear automatically on the image of the building.
6. Customize the interior
Next, you will customize the interior of your building. You will see dropdown menus for the perimeter walls, ceiling, roof insulation, and wall insulation.
Choose the material you want for the perimeter walls and ceiling. Then, choose which type of insulation you prefer for the roof and walls.
7. Add items for scale
Now that the image of your building is complete, you may add items to the image to help you get a sense of its scale. You will find many options customized to reflect the building’s purpose. For instance, you may choose to add images of farming equipment, office furniture, or a range of vehicles.
Adding these items can help you visualize your finished building more clearly. Finally, make any necessary adjustments to your building’s design.
8. Print, save, or share your design
Once your building’s design is complete, you may print, save, or share it with others. You’ll find these options at the top of the design tool. Click on the option you choose. If you decide to share your design, you will need to provide the recipient’s email address, as well as your own contact information.
9. Submit for a quote
The final step in using the 3D design tool is to submit the design for a quote. To do so, simply click on the button toward the bottom of the image that says “submit for a free quote.”
When you click on this button, you’ll see a box asking for your contact information. Once you enter it, click “submit quote.” A representative from Titan Steel Structures will respond as quickly as possible.
